We'd still be fighting WW2 today if they had agreed. The only answer to the Nazis genocidal ideology was total defeat and unconditional surrender. There is no basis for your idiotic theory that Hamas is "bluffing" about wanting to destroy Israel, and that with a 10-year "hudna" and more tomato greenhouses, they would come around to seeking permanent peaceful coexistance with the Jews. If Hamas wants to establish a Sharia state in the Gaza Strip with Gaza City as its capital, all they have to say is the magic words - "We agree to recognize Israel's right to exist as a Jewish State, and we will immediately sign a peace treaty and begin normal diplomatic and trade relations". The world would change the next day. Guaranteed. Let Hamas run this experiment, instead of its "hudna" bullshit, which the entire world laughs at and rejects. What have they got to lose? Israel is not going to just give them a free 10 years to arm and train and try again.
