"sensible", clearly you have very little apprehension of Israel as a country and of the Jewish people generally. There is no law whatsoever in Israel or in Jewish law that makes it a crime to convert to Christianity. There is not even any consequence other than the fact that one cannot be considered for a prayer minion. There are many converts in Israel, and I am unaware of any others that are in prison. Vanunu was imprisoned for something that would see him imprisoned in virtually any country in the world. Treason. In most countries in the middle east (since you want to group Israel with the arab countries like that) he would have been killed instantly, rendering his subsequent conversion impossibe. Vanunu should be thankful that the Israelis saw fit to keep him alive long enough for him to have found salvation in Jesus as he has. And now that that is done, they should put him back into solitary for the rest of his days. For since he has found Jesus, surely he will never be alone.
