Nusseibeh is not "breaking ranks"/being a traitor, etc. in what he is saying. He is simply pointing out that this part of Israeli society is usually a part that speaks out against injustice--and therefore--should not be shut out. However-- This doesn't mean that there shouldn't be/can't be an overall boycott of Israel. The attempt here--is not to engage in collective punishment--even though I know it is practiced against you (Palestinians). In doing this--he is being a good representative of the Palestinian people. Do a boycott--overall. BUT specifically, punish those who are guilty--not those who are not. Regarding Hamas-- Any people must keep in mind that when they elect someone to government, that there will be outside/International reaction to who they elect. Even in the States we have this problem. American people not keeping in mind--that there is an international community out there, that will act positively or negatively to us--based on who we elect.
