You seem very emotional about the Western Wall in East Jerusalem, which belies your generally measured tones. Are you a Christian Zionist (the recent Christian fundamentalists in the U.S.)who have been cosying up to Israel. Both the Wall Street Journal and and the New York Times had a piece about Soviet Jews emigrating to israel during the Reagan Gorbachev detente. The stats come from there. And historian Ilan Pappe's The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine puts to rest the myths about Arabs persuading the indigenous Palestinian population to leave. They were forced out at gun point ,firebombs, grenades, threats, deception, treachery etc. Hence it is referred to as the Nakba(The Great Catastrophe) of 1948. Israel MUST,in the sense that it has evaded U.N. Resolutions for so long and it is time that it did obey them. In practical terms they can accept the Arab initiative at the upcoming Riyadh Summit.
