I understand what you are saying and took note BUT!no matter what the government emissaries and other bodies tried to do,hardly sufficient time to acclimatize themselves after spending nearly 40 years in Gush Katif. If one thinks logically,one would understand that it was not an easy option.Let me give you an example. They say that the "two" most traumatic things in life are:1-Moving house,and 2-Divorce.You must have heard it say yes? On the subject of Gush Katif:Can you imagine this being perpetrated after 40 years of living in the same place and accustomed to the surrounding,schools,etc,and the list goes on. I wouldn't like to have been in their predicament I assure you.Shocked,shocked (as Tosefta sometimes would say).Not on this occasion perhaps,but still I would feel not only disorientated but I would no doubt become very ill(young as I am).Esther dear lady...
