since you are a zionist, quite normal! Dr.A's views on the political situation in the ME.,especially in regard to the israeli Occupation of Palestine were serious and well expressed. Only the zionists objected to that and also distorted his view on the passing away of the zion ist regime(this issue has been well dealt with by farsi scholars,I need not repeat them). What was scandalous was the boorish behaviour of the host President of Columbia who even before Dr.A had spoken called him names!Unheard of in academic circles, but you may not be an academic and so you would not understand that it's not just done. The appropriate time would have been after the guest speaker spoke, and then criticised.Re: David Irving you missed the point;it does not matter that he lost the case against Lipstadt,or that he questioned the authenticity of holocaust accounts. The central point: he as a military historian had the right to give his views.he could be challenged & criticised.
