"Axel, the Kurds for many decades just wanted independence from Iraq, a single Arab state." This is simply rubbish, as the majority of the Kurds live in Turkey, and their fight for independence was against Turkey. Furthermore, you cannot single out separate Iraqi, Iranian, Syrian and Turkish Kurds and their different demands. "How many Arabs supported them in their demand? None!" How many Americans, British, Danes, Chinese, Indians or Israelis supported the Basques of Spain in their demand for independence? It's not considered friendly when one country urges another to give in to the demand of secessionists. "And as for numbers, you are the one who brought this issue up in one of your posts above." That was a correction to a false statement and completely unconnected to political aspects.
