Of course the status of gay rights in Israel is completely irrelevant to this discussion. But what does the middle-east conflict have to do with a gay pride parade in Toronto?! Of course Israel does not have carte-blanche to do whatever it wants - no country does. But there are legitimate ways to protest Israel's actions, and then there are absurd ones. Why does everything in the world have to come back to the Israel/Palestinian conflict? Pride is about celebration, so go celebrate.
