... not that I would liken Cipora to the kettle because her posts are always well informed. But let's see about you Otto: "...Your "always" reeks of ignorance ...."(Otto Rand To Cipora) Then this: "Umar al Khayam, when he conquered the city [Jerusalem] in 643..."(Otto Rand) Really? You don't say Otto .... do you really know who Umar al Khayam REALLY was? He was a poet and he NEVER conquered Jerusalem. Go look it up, just Google it ... Moreover, I'll say it again, for your benefit too ... for at least the last 150 years, the Jews were the majority population of Jerusalem. If you want, I can provide you with links that testify to that effect .... On second thought, I'll give you one link right NOW: http://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1854/03/28.htm "the sedentary population of Jerusalem numbers about 15,500 souls, of whom 4,000 are Mussulmans and 8,000 Jews. The Mussulmans, forming about a fourth part of the whole, and consisting of Turks, Arabs and Moors, are, of course, the masters in every respect, as they are in no way affected with the weakness of their Government at Constantinople"(Karl Marx March 28, 1854 New-York Daily Tribune)

from the article: Jewish politicians are taking Jerusalem's name in vain
