Barney, when you describe what Bibi should do, you are basicly saying he should surrender. Your suggestion leaves him with outcomes he cannot stomach. If Bibi is true to his vision for Israel, what he instead should do is: First he should stand firm while Obama threatens him. Get as much good publicity as he can about being the David with Goliath raging at him. Then when that starts to fail, when the US public wises up and thinks he wants war, then he should publicly give in and start negotiating. When the negotiations are somewhere between 1/2 and 3/4 done, then find a way to rile up the Palestinians and get some riots or something. Maybe relax the border security "since the talks are going well", and all of a sudden get 30 or so suicide bombers. If the Palestinians don't give him suicide bombers, find a way to fake it. Kill a few hundred Israelis. His government falls, and the new PM starts negotiating from the beginning with vast distrust.

No special treatment for rapist ex-president Katsav's clemency bid, Rivlin says

The President's Residence clarifies that a new clemency request has yet to be filed following reports that Moshe Katsav's mental state has deteriorated after a parole board refused to shorten his prison sentence.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin, February 16, 2016.

If Merkel also criticizes Israel, life is not a piece of cremeschnitte

The Israeli reaction to Der Spiegel's report on the German chancellor's frustration with Netanyahu was ridiculous, even Orwellian; as if Israelis were aliens who had just landed from another planet.

Boycott is the only way to stop the Israeli occupation

Aluf Benn's proposal for Israel's left to establish a base of domestic support for its positions is hopeless considering the brainwashing and increasing extremism of our society.
