The USA govt brokered an agreement between the Israelis and the Palestinians called the "Road Map", and that agreement said, inter alia, that: 1) Israel AGREES to freeze all construction 2) The Quartet gets to decide if Israel is living up to that agreement. Therefore it *is* his business to "demand" that Israel live up to that agreements. j: "he is not an elected official in israel." But what you are ignoring is that those who *are* the "elected officials in Israel" made an AGREEMENT, and Obama is demanding is that those officials stand by their commitments under that agreement. He is perfectly entitled to do that, and Israel is *not* entitled to shrug its shoulders and say "Nahhhh, I was just kiddin'. I don't wanna' and you can't make me". You just watch, judea, because he bloody-well can, and he bloody-well will.
