Ronnie, I have just till today not heard an answer to the following question: What will happen to the more or less 600'000 Palestinians who voted for Hamas in last years election. Okay, we can deduce 100'000 who probably only voted for Hamas as a protest against Fatahs corruption. Then we are still at good half a Million. So even if Israel is trying to ignore them, even if she reaches to make some kind of deal with Abbas, as long as there is still a good third of the Palestinians behind Hamas, they can blow up each accord with a few terror-attacks. That's why I believe firmly that they somehow have to be brought on board. The best would probably be a combination of sticks and carrots. And by the way, even if comparisons are always problematic, I would have called a few years ago the IRA a fundamentalist Catholic "terror" organization. Didn't they change through smart politics...??
