Yesterday, there was EXACTLY an earthquake of the same magnitude in Navidad, Chile, some 200 Km (120 miles) southwest of Santiago, and not a tile came down. Either the epicenter was under the town itself, or it was very close to the surface to cause this inexplicable horror and destruction, without a tsunami. News Zealand is a very developed country, Christchurch a wonderful, developed, delightful city. This week, Chile will commemorate last years monstruous earthquake of 9.2º (insurance companies say only 8.5º) that all in all, left 300 dead. If that magnitude (9.2º) would hit New Zealand -G'd forbid- it would erase its human structures. There's something strange here which I am sure will start emerging soon. My heart goes out to New Zealanders and specially to all the victims, their families and loved ones. May G'd bless you in this terrible circumstances.
