JB: Your claim is crystal-ball-gazing; the arabs made no promises that the policy would change, nor did they insist that it was carved in stone. But they insisted it WON`T change WHILE there is occupation. ................. under un 242 the arabs had got to at least promise to recognise Israel if Israel withdrew from west bank and sinai etc. (sequencing presumably to be negotiated.) Since they did not, that was a clear violation. where do you see Israeli reciprocity to this violation in '67. JB: What!!! Between 1947-1949 the Jews (after May 48 the Israelis) seized over half the land that that been earmarked for the Palestinians in the Partition Plan; the Israelis saw it as "annexation", and the Pals as "occupation". This followed an armistice agreement with Arab states. so please explain how arab states and Isarel were equally pig headed pre- '67. duncan

Ashkenazi and Barak.

Why Barak regrets speaking out on Iran

There was no security breach in what the former defense minister said about how an attack was thwarted; what has suffered is mainly Israel’s image.

One of Black Seed Bagels’ specialities.

How the bagel went from shtetls to haute cuisine

A visit to the world's bagel capital is a chance to marvel at how this unassuming Jewish-Ashkenazi food has come from its 17th-century beginnings.
