The "right" to "retalitate"--well, so far the Palestinians have demonstrated only sporadic ability to actually conduct military operations, unless the suicidal "means necessary" of, well, sucide bombers is considered to be self-sustaining (ask the Japanese) as the borders of Israel continue to become progressively less porous (ah, Israel, which is a military power, actually can deploy military defenses as well as offenses). For not law and not custom and not morality give the Palestinians some automatic right *to win* no matter how many slogans are generated or how Palestinian attacks beyond the 1967 borders (which are not borders but military demarcation lines) are characterized (justifiable, beneficial, saintly, inspired by God, warm and cuddly, etc. and whatever) They won't win--because as a society they remain economically and technologically underdeveloped and factionalized.
