And so almost immediately Hamas violated it's own agreement. Maybe you would like to argue that it "implicitly" recognised Israel - presumably the same way withdrawing from Gaza and Olmert's convergence plan "implicitly" recognises Palestinian state with the crucial exception that something actually happened as oppposed to words - except Abdel Rahman Zeidan, amongst others EXPLICITLY said the agreement does not recognise Israel. It was covered in hebrew press along with various Palestinian notables being interviewed on TV, who to their credit were utterly frank as to what it meant, ie nothing. I really don't understand this desparation to read into statements what simply is not there - did the qassams stop for even one second whilst they were writing, releasing and discussing this document - no.
