It is ashame that so many Jews feel that they are alone and hated. The Holocaust has unfortunately created what I call 'justifiable paranoia' among many Jews. However, there are huge gaps between: 1)respect for the ancient Hebrews, b) contributions of contemporary Jews, and c) acts of the State of Israel. In the case of the ancient Hebrews, they established the acceptable norms for modern society. And the positive contributions to society by the vast majority of contemporary Jews is monumental. However, the State of Israel in many of their actions is not following the moral ways of the Ancients. So when criticism of Israel is made, it is important to recognize the difference between raw, bigoted 'hatred' of Jews, and contempt for many of the Israeli government's actions.
