Ahmadinejad, in the original Farsi: "Imam ghoft een rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods bayad az safheh-ye ruzgar mahv shavad." English translation: "The Imam said this regime occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time" Word-for-word translation: "Imam (Khomeini) ghoft (said) een (this) rezhim-e (regime) ishghalgar-e (occupying) qods (Jerusalem) bayad (must) az safheh-ye ruzgar (from page of time) mahv shavad (vanish from)." Nothing about wiping Israel off the map. He is saying that the land-grabbing zionist regime is not viable in its current form and must therefore inevitably collapse and disappear. If you read the rest of his speech the meaning is even clearer, since he DIRECTLY compares the current zionist regime with the Soviet regime and the Shah's regime in Iran. Both long gone - and without massive bloodshed - but the states they controlled (Russia and Iran) both still well and truly alive and kicking. You've been had, Norma. Now you know better.
