H50 asked "Will the new UNIFIL troops be allowed to shoot back?" That brings up the BIG question. How will Israel welcome UNIFIL troops they are begging for? Parades and Flowers? No. Here is the Israeli welcome party: 1) Israel will bomb Hezb without any regard for who else they kill. They will completely disregard the safety of UNIFIL so long as they can kill Hezb fighters. 2) Close to a million Israeli land mines in the area UNIFIL will deploy. 3) IDF working AGAINST UNIFIL by continuing raids. 4) Slanderous accusations of anti-semitism. Every country with troops in UNIFIL is called cowards and anti-semites. 5) Israel will undermine UNIFIL's authority by continually violating 1701 by air, sea, and land. 6) Israel will berate the whole institution that UNIFIL represents, calling it UM-SHMUUM, and pro-terrorist. Some welcome. Would you send YOUR children into that?
