In Fact Hizbullah is not a regular army to be stationed north of the Litany, Its fighters are regular people mostly farmers that live in the south of Lebanon very close to the border, they do have trainings in Northeast Lebanon away from the border. The are like the National Guards in the U.S. they do trining sessions and go back home and their homes happen to be in the south. The reason they train well is because their homes were destroyed many times by the IDF when it occupied Lebanon in 1982 and overstayed in the south for over 20 years. This is when Hizbullah was created to fight the occupation. They did succeed to force Israel to withdraw in a hurry leaving behind many arms dumps and heavy materiel that hizbullah is currently using. Israel still occupies Lebanese territories in the south Like Shebaa Farms and Gajar that israel was supposed to vacate as per the 1701 UN Agreement. Hizbullah claimes on many occasion that once Israel withdraw from all Lebanese territories they disband.
