'I accept that the comments that Ken Livingstone has made make it more difficult for Londoners of Jewish faith to feel that the Labour Party is a place for them,' says mayoral candidate Sadiq Khan.03:33 02.05.16 | 0 comments
There is a difference between asserting that a thing is so and it in fact being so. In the case of your analysis (to use the word very generously) the burden of proof lies on you to verify what you say. I merely pointed out that Bar'el, perhaps by chance, uses the charges usually leveled against "settlers" as an example of a ridiculous charge. Similarly Bar'el is dodging the issue. If Egypt is showing itself unable to control the situation then those in charge of ceding Israeli control on the assumption that Israeli security would not be harmed have made a big blunder. It is not a question of either resources or enmity. No one would expect Syria to let the situation fall apart as has happened at Rafiah. Egypt is first and foremost an incompetent state albeit one with advanced military capabilities nearly as well as the IDF.
