The proverbial "Dutch Uncle" and have stated it correctly. No one can guarrantee a constant blind support from the Americans. The next leader who will replace G.W.Bush,may have different ideas.Things change to one to suit the benefactors first!Even with our Georgie boy,we cannot pretend that this delicate friendship will remain positive. I can understand Jane's American patriotism, but when she points out the monies poured into the coffers of Israel,it is reciprocated in a hundred ways, and she knows it. And I would like to point out to Jane, that Pres'Bush did not invade Iraq to protect Israel, but for reasons which I had better not repeat here,as I have in the past. When people say the good reception Olmert received at "Congress" White House etc, this is the usual formality.Didn't bloody Clinton do the same with that(rat arafat too)? This a mere show of support which I can take with a pinch of salt.By all means continue the friendship, but be aware that situations are not static...
