D: "am saying Olmert will be out on his ear if under ongong terror he tries to evacuate established settlements, He will be out BEFORE they are demolished" He can not use that as an excuse NOT to evacuate them, and neither can his successor, nor theirs.... D: "So if the palestinians want to make it feasible for Olmert to evacuate settlements they are going to hve to keep their half of the roadmap and dismantle the terror organisations." You assume this "terror" is what is preventing Israel from carrying out an Olmert policy of evacuation. Sorry, but Olmert doesn't INTENT to evacuate settlements. He doesn't WANT to and in the absense of Pal "terror" he WON'T. He wants the land and the settlements. He doesn't want to relinguish either, and so he won't of his own volition. He must be pressured to do so. Better this pressure comes from the Americans - no argument - but if the yanks are unwilling then it has to come from the Pals. That means "terror".
