I'm sure you'll agree with me that releasing an American Jewish hostage is not the same as launching Qassam missiles; the former can be considered a "message of peace", but not the latter. Likewise, I'm sure you'll also agree with me that one cannot compare the release of a silly, innocent, young, American Jewish student with the release of a man who planned and ordered the massacres of innocent Israeli civilians. On the other hand, I do agree with you that Israel must make overtures for peace, even in spite of what the Palestinians do, but releasing Marwan Barhouti is not one of them.
