We should not be afraid to use the word apartheid I agree but in the right context and there is no comparison between Israel & South Africa. In SA blacks were the majority but they were barely citizens & had no rights. They were not allowed in the same naeghborhoods as whites They could not travel on the same busses. They were not allowed to do certain jobs They could not vote If the demonstrated against their life they were arrested even peaceful demonstration. In Israel The arabs minority can live next door to jews if they choose. They can travel on the same busses They are allowed to do any job if they have the qualifications. They can vote & there are about 10 arabs in the Knesset, under Olmert there was even an arab in the cabinet. They are allowed peaceful protest. The palestinians are not Israelis so the fact that its one rule for them & another for an Israeli is not apartheid its the fact they are not Israeli citizens. You want apartheid look to the arab world.
