B: "In your dreams. Hebron will ALWAYS be part of Israel. We will NEVER abandon her again. " Look at the map, Bobby, and wake up to yourself. Making Hebron part of Israel means an Israeli-only access road linking it to the rest of the state. There is no way that the Palestinians will agree to that. Your arrogance is breathtaking: you insist that Israel has a "right" to annex a city of 163,000 Arabs and a mere 500 Jewish squatters. What would Israel do with those 163,000 Arabs, Bobby? And on what basis, exactly, does Hebron serve "Israel's legitimate security needs"? And WITHOUT that reasoning (and there is none) then how do you expect the Americans to side with you on this? The best - the VERY BEST - that Israel can hope for is to include an iron-clad committment in the peace treaty saying that the Palestinians agree to unrestricted access for any Israeli who wishes to visit the Cave of the Patriarchs and then return to Israel.

Why Barak regrets speaking out on Iran

There was no security breach in what the former defense minister said about how an attack was thwarted; what has suffered is mainly Israel’s image.

How the bagel went from shtetls to haute cuisine

A visit to the world's bagel capital is a chance to marvel at how this unassuming Jewish-Ashkenazi food has come from its 17th-century beginnings.
