This is acceptance of Jews as an ethnic people of a Semite nationality - of an origin in the ME, particularly "Canaan". Essentially you are trying to describe a nationality as a cult. In this case the ethnic Jewish people, because you wish to assimilate. Thus you would like to portray your choice as the leaving of a cult (to use a dismissive term for a group culture). In the same way some Americans renounce American citizenship (over disgust at US government policy), you attack state of Israel government to justify renouncing Jewish identity. Are you saying it is only the opposition from Arabs to a Jewish homeland (which necessitates the security first policy you oppose) which has you renouncing Jewish status? Thus blaming Zionists is to enable walking away from the difficult circumstance of other Jews. Essentially you oppose a Jewish national homeland?s existence and divide against other Jews because of their support for it.
