(2)under the oslo accords, settlements are to be left to final status so the palestinians have no legal rights to demand they should go before then. (3) if the settlers were not in the west bank, israel proper would be bombarded with missiles as happens with sderot. so settlers are there for self defence. hague does not deal with the situation where the only way you can ensure law and order is by making things permanent, common sense would suggest it is legal.
