Ivar says, "There is no moral justification for keeping Palestinian POW`s locked up beyond this point. The time has come to release them, for Israel`s and the world`s sake." Moral justification is quite simple. At the present time, the PA is incapable of asserting internal discipline so as to prevent further acts of violence by its citizens against Israel. It might be politically expedient to experiment with the possibility that by releasing these POW’s the PA will gain such authority and in the long run more lives will be saved. However, it might also be morally WRONG to do so if those released go out and kill more innocent lives. I think the time has come for Palestinians to decide if they want to accept the rule of a singular authority or continue to live “tribally” with many chiefs. This is not something that Israel nor anyone else can decide for them. Their lives as a collective will become infinitely safer and more stable once they do.
