While it's true the the revolutionist/liberation of the PLO et. al went out of hand in Lebanon during the 1970s, you will never be able to convince me that the current alienation of Palestinians in Lebanon (some of whom are 3rd and 4th generation refugees) is justifiable in any way. It is outright inhuman, greedy, and un-strategic to contain the poor Palestinians into "favelas" rather than integrate them well into Lebanese society for the benefit of Lebanon. So many Palestinians gained higher degrees and simply had to leave Lebanon, taking their expertise, entrepreneurship, and enthusiasm to Gulf states, Canda, Australia, etc. The only hope for Lebanon now (with the current geopolitical and demographic realities) is to learn how to think like a modern state, and make do with petty sectarian politics. Palestinian (whatever their legal status) can boost Lebanon's GDP and formal economy for the benefit of all Lebanese.
