Thank you for your reply. The existence of Palestinian refugee camps is quite clearly an example of ethnic cleansing. The logic is very simple. These Palestinians are not allowed back to their homeland. They have been denied the right of return. They have been removed from their land by force and fear by another ethnic group, the Israelis, and not allowed to come back. They have been ejected from their homeland. There are literally millions of them in camps in Lebanon and elsewhere in the Middle East, being supported day-in-day-out by the UN for the last 50 years. They are not citizens of other countries, they are from the land that has been renamed Israel.
The only way Israel can live up to its obligations as a democracy is to allow the Palestinians to return. It will not, which is why I say repeatedly that Israel is not a modern secular democracy.
