"abhorrent occupation", "illegal" "brutal oppression", "obstacle to peace"etc etc.Don't you guys ever tire of the same dreary slogans? Let's get a few things straight; "illegal" is when Egypt and Jordan (the previous occupiers of Gaza and the West Bank) ganged up on Israel and caused the Six Day war. It is legal for countries who start wars to lose territory (Kurile islands for example). "Brutal oppression" doesn't quite square with the fact that from 1967 till the first intifada, the standard of living, life expectancy etc in the West Bank and Gaza shot up under Israeli rule. Then when Israel left most of the West Bank, fell again. If you want real "brutal oppression" look to Hamas and the institution of Sharia law in Gaza.As for "Obstacle to Peace", how come the Arabs tried to destroy Israel 3 times before 1967, before there was a single settlement? answer-the real obstacle to peace is the Arabs inability to come to terms with Isarels right to exist.
