Israel is not a binational state it is a jewish state which has a minority arab population. As for the idea of a single state on what LEGAL grounds can that be introduced if the Israeli people are against it? This isn't South Africa where the blacks were still citizens of the country same as the whites but were just denied any rights.. The palestinians are not and never have been Israeli citizens and unless they are Israeli citizens they are in no position to demand anything like that. Neither the UN or any other country has the right to tell Israel to give up its identity as a jewish state or give citizenship to palestinians. Resolution 242 doesn't mention the palestinians it was a resolution that applied to Israel, Syria, Jordan and Egypt and it certainly said nothing about creating a palestinian state. Resolution 194 also has no importance as its a General Assembly resolution Israel chose not to adopt & General Assembly resolutions are just glorified proposals & non binding.
