What part of Jerusalem belongs to Israel will be negotiated. But if you have read the Bible, you know that not all the land that Joshua entered when he led the 12 tribes of Israelites into the land of Canaan from across the river Jordan was promised to THE JEWISH PEOPLE!! PLEASE READ THE BIBLE: In Judges 2 21-23, God said, “I will no longer drive out before them any of the nations which Joshua left when he died.” The Jebusites who had already built Jerusalem, and still occupied the city for over 100 years after the Israelites arrived in Canaan, were still there. Therefore God did not intend to give all the land to the Israelites. Respected scholars and historians contend the Jebusites were the forbears of the Palestinians. When Abraham entered Canaan in c.1935 B.C. he was met and hosted by Melchizedek, a Jebusite leader.
