A power legally occupying enemy territory (which Israel does under UNSC242) has right to reasonably designate closed military zones for its protection. Since Hamastan has threatened to cross the border tokidnap Israelis, plants bombs on border fence, and fires rockets and mortars from just over border fence, Israel is correct in establishing a no-go zone to help prevent cross-border attacks, just as it requires a security zone next to the crossings it operates to stop Hamas attacks on them (or...no crossings will exist - Israel's call alone). It is obvious from past experience that "border protests" are used as cover for bomb planting and other cowardly use of civilians as human shields by Hamas - so Israel is correct in using live ammo to keep everybody away from the fence. Gaza is not a state with territorial rights. UNS242 provides Israel "secure and recognized borders free from threats and acts of force". When Hamas stops rejecting this, they can have their 300 m zone back.
