A whole lota' nothing in your post, I'm afraid. So Jordan provoked an Israeli assault on the entire West Bank? Whacky-doo, Shalom. The entire point of the article is not the WAR that was fought in those six-days, but the SUBSEQUENT decision to occupy the land and not relinguish it back to Hussein. He would have learnt his lesson and never, ever attacked again. So what was the rationale for occupying the land and adopting the Alon Plan to colonize it? The author of this article doesn't know. I don't know. The archives indicated that the Israeli cabinet of the time didn't know either. They just got light-headed and euphoric, and decided that it sounded like a good idea, thanks very much, now that you come to mention it. And that had NOTHING to do with Jordan foolishly deciding to join in the war on the side of Egypt and Syria. It was a stupid mistake, and you guys are still feeling the effects 40 years later.
