Monsieur le Funk, you are absolutely right! Just my own 2 cents: Remember long ago when the PLO was this horrible organization, with whom it was ILLEGAL for anyone in Israel (or the occupied territories) to be associated or meet with!? (In fact there was a time when displaying the Palestinian Flag could lead one to jail!) I must admit, it was "forward steps" when Rabin, Peres, and even Natanyahu shook hands with Arafat. But we of course had to reach a hurdle, he did not agree with Barak's offer! Sharon and our president (Bush), did not want to deal with him. He was NOT a partner for peace, they said! Bush suggested to the Palestinian people TO CHOOSE better leadership (than Arafat who got over 70% of the votes). Well, he got his wish! Now they complain about Hamas. I guess what they want is for the Palestinians to elect Bush or Sharon! Bush wants to spread democracy around the world, so long as whoever is elected is his puppy! The Israelis are NO BETTER!
