New comers to Israel often know enough Hebrew to integrate into society, especially those Jews coming from more traditional/religious background in which Hebrew has been used throughout the ages, although not as a daily spoken language for the most part. As a result, Hebrew is spoken by both parents and children. Actually, there is nothing to be sorry for. We have built a dynamic society here that incorporates all components of our Jewish people; a very unique society of which many people are envy.
