    you wrote...The majority of American troops will redeploy sometime in 2008-09 but they will not be going far. They will stay to protect vital American interests while removing our soldiers from door to door warfare in cities. The Iraqis are in meltdown. The USArmy is overstretched and nearly broken. Equipment. moral, and a public that is absolutely disillusioned with the Bush docterine of shock and yawn. The dems will pull us out, if not there will be an open revolt, similar to what happened during Viet Nam. Wesley Clark former Nato and USForces in Europe Commander designed a small force reaction unit that is now in the process of being implemented. But there will never be aother large expeditionary force deployed in the ME. Once we split, everything is up for grabs, and there is nothing we can do about it short of a thermo nuclear answer to what? Al Quida? We've lost this one folks, the US leadership learned nothing since Viet Nam. Time to go home and tend their own garden.
