A: "Talk is talk. means nothing." Indeed true! An announcement that you are closing shipping lanes where they enter Egyptian waters is merely TALK. It isn't an ACT until you actually stop some ships (mull the Cuban Missile Crisis if you don't believe me). THAT'S when a country has it's casus belli, not before. A: "When Nasser mad the move to close the shipping lanes that was THE act of war." And when, exactly, did he MOVE to close the shipping lane? You know, in constrast to merely ANNOUNCING it? When, exactly, was that Israeli ship stopped by an Egyptian patrol boat? After all, Kennedy definitely ordered US destroyers to form a blockade of Cuba, but not one of those vessels ever stopped any ships. Crisis averted, in that case. Israel, or course, used the mere ANNOUNCEMENT of a closure as an excuse to attack. More warongering that the USSR: that's a pretty impressive effort, Arnold.
