Stop living in fairy tales. This conflict is driven by an ideology that cannot abide the existence of ANY Jewish state ANYWHERE in the Middle-East. No concessions, no agreements, no independant Palestine, will change that. It is the same ideology which now demonizes America, which abhors modern liberal democracy, & which oppresses & exploits it's own people in it's quest for political domination. In addition, nothing from past history has demonstrated the ability of the Palestinians to make a success of a new state. On the contrary, all the evidence shows the opposite. The very high probability is that Palestine would become a failed terrorist state - a bigger Gaza. This is obviously NOT in our national interest.
