It is NOT a "missed opportunity" if you really don't WANT an opportunity. IF and I say IF Abbas signs an agreement with Isreal, it will be peace FORCED on the Palestinians. I say forced, because in their hearts-the vast majority of them, want the "Jews" and Christians dead and gone. They see a successful Isreal, and want to TAKE IT. What they fail to understandis this. While Isreal was defending herself, she was also building a country and a strong economy. All the Palestinians have been building is "revenge", and stocking up on weapons to continue the pipe dream of destroying Isreal. They cannot seem to come to terms with the fact that the little chance they had in the late 40's and early 50's of destroying Isreal is gone. (even as late as '67-had a shot). Isrealis may have to come to terms with the fact, taht at a minimum, a low level state of war will continue to exist for ANOTHER generation or two. I HATE this is so, but unless the average Pali mindset changes, this is reality
