I'd heard about this "neighbour procedure" and read that it was banned; on the other hand, I've seen a "youtube" video of several IDF soldiers pushing a young Palestinian guy in front of them (and I mean pushing him) at gunpoint..the Palestinian guy is seen to knock on two doors of Palestinian houses with the soldiers behind him. It seemed to be carried out in a very quiet way, so obviously the soldiers knew they were violating the Israeli High Court directive banning this procedure. If American soldiers in Iraq were filmed doing this there would be hell to pay, and it has been an IDF practice for a long time before being banned and obviously it is still being used. This IDF officer should have been thrown out of the IDF, not denied promotion for six months...
