It makes not the slightest difference that the IDF attempts to take this outside of the reach of the Israeli courts. 1) The West Bank is occupied territory. 2) The occupying power is the IDF. 3) A Palestinian who is in the West Bank - for any reason - is a "protected person". Article 49, Geneva Convention IV: "Individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory to the territory of the Occupying Power or to that of any other country, occupied or not, are prohibited, regardless of their motive." That prohibition is ABSOLUTE and it is UNCONDITIONAL, and so doing this is a grave violation of international law *regardless* of what "legal foundation" Israel attempts to build around this.
