PSM: "BBS Occupied by whom ? Egypt? Hamas is the government of Gaza and performs the functions of government there." Just as the PA performed those same "functions of govt there" as part of the Olso Accords, yet nobody ever claimed that those Accords ended the occupation. (Just as nobody pretended that Denmark wasn't occupied because the Germans allowed Danish institutions to keep functioning after 1940). An occupying power grabs all authority to itself, and then has three choices: 1) Run everything itself (Gaza after Six Day War). 2) Delegate the "functions of govt" to the occupied (Gaza after the Oslo Accords). 3) Force the occupied to fend for themselves (Gaza after disengagement). NONE of those ends an occupation, because in EVERY case the IDF insists it still has the "authority" to step in at any time, and for any reason, to sweep it all away.
