FOX: "Give the land 'back' to Hussein. Even though Hussein had been the 'occupier' of this territory." *sigh* Jordan was the occupier 49-67. By definition it had "authority" over the West Bank. Israel took that authority off Jordan in 1967. There is no problem in logic or in law for Israel to have immediately ended *ITS* occupation by handing back that authority to Jordan. Why does that get you all excited? FOX: "I have argued that there was no Pal entity to give the land too." In 1967? No. As late as 1991 at Madrid the PLO contingent was part of the Jordan delegation. So? Jordan later relinguished any claim to the WB, without prejudicing any other claim by the PLO. The Pals claim the land via SELF-DETERMINATION. That trumps either Jordan's OR Israel's claim to the land via war. SELF-DETERMINATION doesn't require any pre-existing "Pal entity", FOX. Quite the reverse; it is strengethened if there is no pre-existing sovereign.
