Jordan and Egypt HAVE been working with Israel all the way during recent decades: Not to solve the Palestinian problem, but to maintain the status quo. Any change in the direction of a free and democratic Palestinian state would threaten their unpopular dictatorial regimes on one side, and the racist and murderous plan for a Greater Israel on the other. So, Hamas' victory (not more of a coup than Abbas' previous denial to hand over control of security forces to the national unity government) is indeed a wake-up call: for all of them. But I don't think they'll wake up, and especially Israel.
