Pro-Iranian parties are probably going to win big in the Iraqi election. Karzai is negotiating with the Taleban. With Obama struggling to extract the US from two unpopular and fairly disastrous wars, the last thing he wants right now, is another war that seems likely to end up being again, both unpopular and fairly disastrous. "U.S. bombers are ready today to destroy 10,000 targets in Iran in a few hours." I expect they are. They might as well be ready, but if they did, the consequences are potentially so big and unpredictable, that it's currently hard to imagine the US actually doing it.
