Israel has to do more then simply not criticise diaspora Jews for criticising Israel. It has to change its policies, most noticeably on the occupation. Unless this happens, the divide between the two groups will only widen. How tragic that Israel which was meant to bring world Jewry together has ended up being so divisive. Of course, Israel can continue to let extreme thinking influence much of its political agenda. If it does, it might as well stop wasting money on hasbara. Netanyahu has previous said that the key to encouraging support for Israel was to present it in the "right" light. Never any mention of the "right" policies.
