No one in Israel is starving and without "adequate" housing (which is a matter of definition. Yes, there are poor, and the government could do much more, but remember, more exports mean more work for more people. As for India, the situation there has vastly improved. There is a growinf middle class. Though many are still homeless (unless you consider living in the street a home), at least no one is starbing any more.
